Ramasamy recently married Rajya Sabha MP, Sasikala Pushpa, in Delhi, but the marriage was opposed by Sathyapriya, who said her husband was yet to file for a divorce from her. Following this, she filed a case against Ramasamy and obtained an order restraining him from getting married, but Ramasamy went ahead and married Sasikala.

Meanwhile, Ramasamy, with the help of his daughter Anjali, filed a case against Sathyapriya with the New Delhi police, accusing Sathyapriya of harassing Anjali and based on this, Delhi cops reached Madurai and served a notice to her and she was asked to appear in the national capital as part of the probe. Seeking relief, Sathyapriya filed for anticipatory bail in the High Court.

She stated that the petition was filed with malicious intention and that she had taken care of Anjali like her own daughter. It was Ramasamy who had harassed her both sexually and mentally, so she should be granted anticipatory bail.
