Two dead, 10 injured in road accident near Sholinghur
Two people were killed on the spot and 10 others were injured in an accident involving a two-wheeler, car and a tractor-trailer, near Sholinghur, about 50 km from Vellore, in the early hours of Wednesday.

The dead were identified as Subramani (60) and his wife Muniammal (55) on the two-wheeler, while those injured were travelling in the car and the tractor-trailer, police said. The accident occurred when the tractor-trailer bound for Sholingur via Ponnai from Chittoor in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh hit the two-wheeler going in front. The car coming behind the tractor rammed the trailer from the rear. RK pet police have registered a case.
