    Six doctors, higher officials to appear before probe panel

    The one man enquiry commission led by Justice A Arumughaswamy probing the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa has sent summons to six doctors and various high-ranking officials to appear before the commission on April 6 and 7 at Kalas Mahal, where the probe has been underway.

    Doctors Muthuselvan, Kala, Tito, Dharmaraj, Balaji and Shankar have been asked to appear before the commission on April 6. Sasikala’s counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian is expected to complete his cross-examination of them. 

    On April 7, former chief secretaries Sheela Balakrishnan, P Rama Mohana Rao and doctors Muralidharan and Dinesh are to appear before the enquiry commission as well. 

    The cross-examination of witnesses in the probe into the death of former CM Jayalalithaa began on March 28.
