IndiGo to link Tiruchy, Chennai with 4 daily services
Realising the potential for better air connectivity in the Tiruchy-Chennai sector, low-cost airline IndiGo has planned to operate four flight services a day from June 1 in a bid to encourage more passengers to fly to the city.

According to official sources, IndiGo has announced the service from Tiruchy to Chennai on a regular basis.Â
Accordingly, the first flight from Chennai will take off at 8.45 am and will reach Tiruchy at 9.55 am. This flight will then depart from Tiruchy at 10.15 am and reach Chennai at 11.20 am. Similarly, the second flight from Chennai will take off at 11.50 am and will land at Tiruchy by 1 pm.Â
This flight will leave from Tiruchy at 1.20 pm and reach Chennai by 2:25 pm. The third flight from Chennai will take off at 2.45 pm and reach Tiruchy by 3.55 pm. The same will then take off from Tiruchy at 4.15 pm and will land at Chennai by 5.20 pm.Â
The last flight of the day from Chennai will depart at 5.50 pm and will reach Tiruchy by 6.50 pm. This will take off from there at 7.10 pm and land Chennai at 8.15 pm.Â
Officials from the airport confirmed that IndiGo is also planning to connect Tiruchy with Bengaluru and Hyderabad with the low-cost service.Â
The fare will just be on a par with first class AC train ticket and it would boost passenger surge in the coming days.Â
Currently, Alliance Air and Jet Airways offer service to Chennai and Mumbai from Tiruchy
