Weatherman predict rains in southern districts for two days
The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) on Monday predicted mild rainfall in southern parts of the state for the next two days.

According to weathermen, a trough of low has formed over South-central Bay running from South coastal Andhra Pradesh to Comorin (Kanyakumari) area.
The weather system is likely to persist for the next two days, leading to showers in southern Tamil Nadu. A senior official in the RMC told DT Next that temperatures recorded in several southern districts was considerably low on Monday. “It is a sign for mild rain for next two days in those parts. As far as Chennai region is concerned, sky will remain cloudy and there will be scattered rain in a few parts of the city and suburbs,” he said.
Meanwhile, weather experts said satellite imageries indicate that North Tamil Nadu will record a below than average maximum temperature for the next few days, indicating the strength of Easterlies. Pockets of west- interior districts of the state could also witness a slight drop in temperatures.
K Srikanth, a city-based weather blogger said, “South coast will see an active day in terms of rainfall. A few places in the western region of Tamil Nadu are expected to witness low temperatures for the next two days.”
