Theatres will function from today, says Abirami Ramanathan
Abirami Ramanathan, the president of the Tamil Nadu Theatre Owners and Distributors Association, said, "We met the government officials who assured that they will help our cause and meet our demands soon. We have called-off the strike, and so, the theatres will function from today."

While TFPC (Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council) is yet take a stance on the on-going strike with Digital Service Providers, the theatre owners had recently met the government officials and reached a compromise by which the former will not be part of this strike. This is with the understand that government will provide maximum support to the theatre owners.Â

Ask him if there will be any releases, he says, "The Producers Council has to take a call on it. Until then, we will be screening old films."
