Major fire averted in private hospital due to timely intervention by staff

According to sources, a fire was noticed in the laboratory of the hospital situated in the second floor of the building.The staff immediately disconnected power supply and shifted the in-patients to another building in their ambulance and informed the fire service. The fire service personnel, who reached the spot, fought and  put out the flames. Short circuit in an air condition machine in the lab is the cause for the fire, Fire Service sources said.

According to  management sources, it was a minor fire. However, not taking any risk, all the 18 in-patients were shifted to the Busy street unit of the hospital in their ambulance to ensure their safety. 

No hardship was experienced by any patient and the hospital started functioning from the same building itself.
