    Protesters seek pay parity, 50 percent quota in PG courses

    As part of a state-wide agitation organised by the Tamil Nadu Government Doctors’ Association (TNGA), 30 doctors from Vellore government medical college hospital and 80 doctors from Tiruvannamalai government hospital gathered in support of their varied demands and raised slogans on Monday.

    The doctors demanded a pay parity with their central government counterparts and reservation of 50% seats in PG courses for government doctors. 

    The outpatient schedule was not affected due to the agitation in both of the hospitals. The demonstrators raised slogans in support of their demands before dispersing for their work, Vellore medical college officials said.
