Stalin confused, says Tamilisai

Claiming that the Leader of Opposition was retracting his statements regarding Dravida Nadu in quick successions, Tamilisai said his confusion would wreak havoc on the DMK.

“Stalin said they were part of the Congress alliance in the Centre. After interaction with (West Bengal Chief Minister) Mamata Banerjee, Stalin said that the decision on alliance would be taken during the time of elections. The opposition leader is in a big confusion,” she said. 

Dismissing allegations that the BJP was remote controlling the AIADMK regime, the BJP leader asserted that MPs from state need not resign as the Centre has already working to implement the Supreme Court’s Cauvery final verdict. 

“The Centre will honour the Apex Court’s order on Cauvery and the rights of the state would be ensured. We assured that we would bring excess water from Narmada,” she said. 

Tamilisai said that Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal had personally assured her during his visit to the City that efforts to set up the Cauvery Management Board are on. “It would be improper to say that the Centre was not doing anything,” she added. 

Reacting to the proposed fast by Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam founder TTV Dinakaran, Tamilisai said it was sheer politics. “He was earlier a Parliamentarian and member of the AIADMK and could do better things. Stalin too was trying to gain political mileage from Cauvery when his party did nothing in this regard when they were in power both at the Centre and state,” Tamilisai reasoned.
