OPS treated for food poisoning in Madurai
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam was treated for food poisoning in a private hospital, near Mattuthavani bus stand, in Madurai, on Saturday.

He was returning to Theni after attending a private function and had taken food from a restaurant. Sources said OPS complained of dizziness as the motorcade reached Kalavasal junction.Â
He was rushed to a private hospital. The hospital said the Deputy Chief Minister was fine and he resumed journey after an hour’s observation. Doctors performed ECG and Echo tests and declared him fit.Â
Party sources said Pannerselvam had an injury on the left arm and was scheduled to get treatment at a hospital in Tiruchy. He, however, fell ill midway and had to be hospitalised, they added.
