‘Dinakaran’s party, a stopgap measure’
TTV Dinakaran’s aide and former minister V Senthil Balaji, who convened a discussion meeting on Monday ahead of the Melur meet, told the reporters that the naming of party and other activities are just temporary and the ultimate aim of the faction is to retrieve the AIADMK and ‘Two Leaves’ symbol.

All the disqualified MLAs and the other MLAs who support Dinakaran will take part in the March 15 public meeting, he said.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting, Senthil Balaji said, the state government has been losing all its rights and the Centre has been unusually delaying in establishing the Cauvery Management Board.
“All the MPs should have resigned condemning this. At least, the Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai should have resigned his post and this would have given a pressure to the Centre,” Senthil Balaji said.
Stating that the announcement of the new party name and the symbol at Madurai is just a temporary one, the former minister said that the Dinakaran faction is committed to retrieve the AIADMK party and its symbol and it would be realised in a short span.
He said, “All the 18 disqualified MLAs and the MLAs of Aranthangi, Kallakurichi and Virudhachalam will participate in the public meeting that was scheduled on March 15.”
Meanwhile, Senthil Balaji charged that Edappadi K Palaniswami led state government could not even issue a warning against the BJP national secretary H Raja for his controversial statement on Periyar. “The government will soon change and the party and symbol will come to Dinakaran,” he asserted once again.
