Speaking in a meeting at Thiruchengode in Namakkal district, he warned the MLAs to beware of former ministers Senthil Balaji and Palaniappan (Dinakaran supporters), whom he compared with child kidnappers. Thangamani also accused Dinakaran of deceiving the 18 disqualified MLAs with Chief Minister’s post only to ensure that they did not go away from him.
“Any party, including the DMK could criticise the AIADMK government, but FERA accused Dinakaran has no locus standi to attack the government,” he said. The Minister was at Namakkal amidst speculations of an AIADMK MLA from the district about to cross over to TTV’s camp. It may be recalled that Thangamani is one of the six ministers whom the Dinakaran’s camp wanted out of the government.
