Duraimurugan to critics: Talk with right facts
DMK headquarters secretary Duraimurugan on Wednesday asked critics to get their facts right before commenting on the efforts made by the DMK for improving the irrigation infrastructure in the state.

Reacting to a media report that comprehensive irrigation projects were taken up during the Congress regime till 1967, Duraimurugan, who held PWD portfolio in Karunanidhi’s rule, claimed that 42 dams were constructed in DMK rule.
Refusing to discredit the 15 reservoir projects successfully executed from 1947 to 1967 in Congress rule, Duraimurugan said, “Constructing those many dams with the finances available then was also a great feat,” before adding that it was a great mistake to say that no dams were constructed during DMK rule.
