Facebook page attacks interfaith couples, Tamil Nadu link suspected
In the wake of media reports that a man named Satish Mylavarupu (Anna) had put out a list of interfaith couples on Facebook account and called for violence against them, the Tamil Nadu police are trying to track him down after FB showed his current location as Dindigul.

The FB identity could be a fake one, noted a police officer but confirmed that sleuths are tracking his digital footprints. Over the weekend, the social media platforms were abuzz with reaction to the list of more than 100 Indian inter-faith married couple posted on a Facebook page called Hindutva Varta, managed by Satish Mylavarupu, asking to hunt for the men in the list. FB had suspended the page on Sunday night. The list was posted on January 28.Â
The list mentioned the names of 102 couples and also had the links to their Facebook profile. A Twitter handle, reportedly belonging to the same person reacted to FB decision to remove the page, stated that he would create another page and put out the list again.Â
In the ‘places you’ve lived’ column on FB, Dindigul in Tamil Nadu was listed as his current city. While his home town was listed as Jamshedpur, it also showed that he had live in Colaba, Maharashtra, for sometime. A Tamil Nadu police officer said that they are tracking the man because his location was shown as Dindigul but added that Satish Myalavarupu could be a fake identity of the man. But the man is on FB since 2012 and his posts had been extremely pro-Hindu and anti-Muslim in nature. Â
