Sasikala seeks more time to reply to one-man inquiry commission
Jailed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala responded to the orders of Justice Arumughasamy Inquiry Commission probing the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday with a petition seeking more time to submit her testimony.

As per her earlier request, the commission had sent details and testimonies of those who deposed against her, giving her seven days to respond. She received the documents on February 1. Sasikala was expected to reply within a week. The commission granted her counsel the right to cross-examine all the witnesses once it reconvened on February 12.Â
But, in a petition filed on Tuesday, Sasikala had requested that she be granted 10 days from the date of receipt of all the evidence to file the affidavit and allow for the cross-examination to begin seven days after deposition of all witnesses.Â
Meanwhile, an administrative rejig in the one-man commission saw Komala take over from Paneerselvam as the Public Secretary to Justice Arumughasamy.
