Noting the importance of keeping the employees’ morale high, the court said it was possible only through administrative fairness and by avoiding any kind of arbitrariness or favouritism.
“This court with all humility has to place on record that at least hereafter the rule of law is adhered to in order to minimise the discrimination,” said Justice SM Subramaniam while disposing of a petition moved by the Madras HC Staff Association.
