Bus fare hike: Government revises ticket prices after stiff opposition
After facing stiff opposition from public and various political parties over bus fare revision, the state government has on Sunday decided to reduce the fare and new fare will come into effect from Monday (tomorrow).

According to a press release issued by the transport department, bus fare for ordinary buses (white board) has been reduced by one rupee in MTC buses in city. " The minimum fare was earlier Rs 5 and maximum fare was Rs 23. But, the department now reduced to Rs 4 and 22 respectively," read the statement.
Similarly, fare for mofussil buses has been reduced ranging from 58 paise to 1.30 paise in every 30 kms for all kind of buses like deluxe, express and ultra deluxe.
