TTV man sees ‘motive’ behind second prize for bull
Madurai
A bull owner from Ponnamaravathi in Pudukkottai district claimed that his bull was the best participant in the Alanganallur jallikattu (held on Janury 16) but because he was a supporter of sidelined AIADMK leader VK Sasikala, and TTV Dinakaran, the jallikattu committee had rejected his bull for the first place and awarded the second prize.
He submitted a petition to Madurai district administration, on Monday, in which he had stated that his bull, Kari, a black colour bull, aged seven, was the best performer.
After entering the Vadivasal, the bull stayed in the jallikattu arena and attacked three bull tamers whereas the bull that was adjudged the best ran straight towards the collecting point without much play in the arena.
Though he is satisfied with the bike as the second prize, it is a disappointment for him that his bull was not adjudged the best in the event.
When the Alanganallur jallikattu committee was approached, they pointed hands at the officials of Madurai district administration, said Malaiyandi.
