Sasikala’s lawyer deposes before commission, to appear again this week
On Monday morning, Sasikala's counsel Raja Senthoor Pandian deposed on her behalf at the enquiry commission. Speaking to the press afterwards, he said that he has been asked to reappear on January 25 by Justice A Arumughaswamy.

Balamurugan, an Assistant Commissioner (Customs) of the Central Excise and Service Tax Tribunal (CESTAT) who had earlier moved Madras HC calling for the formation of a panel to look into the death of Jayalalithaa, also deposed before the Arumughaswamy commission on Monday at Kalas Mahal.
Meanwhile, the Enquiry commission has also requested the State Government to form a panel of doctors to vet the documents and files provided by Apollo Hospitals pertaining to the hospitalisation of former CM Jayalalithaa. The commission is also expected to summon ADMK Spokesperson and former minister C Ponnaiyan in relation to his comments that the former CM had been injected with high doses of steroids over a period of time, which in turn acted as a slow poison, resulting in her death.
