SASTRA to hold three free online prep exams for NEET, JEE

This will give around 10,000 Class 12 students from Tamil Nadu a chance to prepare for various entrance examinations. “Preference will be given to students of Tamil Nadu government / government - aided schools, especially those coming from the underprivileged background,” says S. Most of the competitive exams are conducted soon after the Class 12 board examinations are over. Students appearing for these exams begin their preparation months in advance and start taking mock tests from January onwards, in order to understand how the system works. “Three tests will be conducted on January 20, February 18 and April 22, 2018 at various test centres across Tamil Nadu.

Online registration at www.sastra.edu can be done between January 5 and 16, 2018. We have collaborated with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) for the online technology.

After writing each examination, the performance of each student will be analysed. “At the end of each online examination, every student will be provided with individual score card, along with performance analytics. This will tell them how they handled the question with negative marking and how much time they spent on every question. Thus, we will enable them to identify their strengths and weaknesses before they appear for the actual examination,” says the Dean.
