The Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has decided to place in public domain through a weekly bulletin list of important decisions and approvals accorded to various schemes and programmes of the Administration, according to a release from Raj Nivas.

The details and the information can be accessed at the official website of Raj Nivas (https://rajnivas.py.gov.in/ press.php). It will also appear in the ‘what`s New’ scroll in the home page, the release said.

The weekly bulletin will be archived and could be accessed for information on disposal status of any given file, the release said. This initiative has been resorted to bring in transparency in administration and also “forms part of the proactive disclosure mandated by the provisions of Right to Information Act, 2005,” it added.

    LG urged to relieve staff

Parliamentary Secretary to the Chief Minister, K Lakshminarayanan has urged Lt Governor Kiran Bedi to relieve the staffs working on deputation in the Raj Nivas and thereby set an example.

Responding to the Lt Governor’s direction to relieve PRTC (Puducherry Road Transport Corporation) drivers working with legislators and government officials on deputation, Lakshminarayanan in a letter on Tuesday informed her that he would relieve his driver drawn for the PRTC.

He said that as per information obtained under the RTI Act, 25 persons are working in the Raj Nivas and that too on the same category of service placement. “Since, you are a strong believer in the rule of law, I think your office may also relieve the staffs”, he added.
