DMK objects to government’s website on RK Nagar
The DMK charged that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam had launched a website (www.rknagar.in) on Wednesday promising to solve issues of the electorate through the government machinery.

The DMK and AIADMK traded poll violation charges and petitioned the Electoral Commission seeking action on Thursday.
The DMK charged that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy CM O Panneerselvam had launched a website (www.rknagar.in) on Wednesday promising to solve issues of the electorate through the government machinery. “It is also informed to the voters that their grievance may be registered in the said website and the state would redress the same immediately.
Through the said website any type of grievance may come from the voters, which is prohibited under the Model Code of Conduct. The petition demanded the website be blocked. Meanwhile, the AIADMK, in its petition, charged that the DMK was bribing voters by taking them outside RK Nagar constituency. It further alleged that the DMK was using vehicles registered outside RK Nagar for campaigning without permission in an unauthorised manner.
DMK for all-party panel to distribute relief
DMK working president MK Stalin on Thursday asked the state government to constitute a committee headed by Kanniyakumari collector to oversee distribution of relief to cyclone affected people there.
Alleging that the AIADMK men had siphoned off relief distributed during cyclones Thane and Vardah, Stalin, in a statement, said that it was imperative to ensure that there was no pilferage in distribution of relief materials in Cyclone Ockhi affected Kanniyakumari and hence a relief committee should be constituted to oversee the distribution to the affected people.
He further said that the distribution must take place under the supervision of the committee headed by the district collector comprising representatives of all parties and fishermen associations.
Change of guard at Centre will end state’s woes: Stalin
DMK working president MK Stalin on Thursday speaking at a Christmas function said that a government of their liking should be formed at the Centre to end the woes of the state. Referring to Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s statement that a separate ministry should be created to address fishermen’s issues, Stalin not mentioning of the BJP said that a “government desirable to us” should be formed at the Centre and one in the state for such a situation to arise.
