CBI court issues arrest warrant against Natarajan
In a set back to M Natarajan, husband of jailed and ousted AIADMK leader V K Sasikala, a CBI Special Court on Thursday issued arrest warrant in the lexus car import case.
Chennai
The arrest warrant was issued after the Madras High Court had on November 17 upheld the two year jail term awarded to him and three others in the lexus car import case.
On a plea filed by the CBI, the Court issued the arrest warrants against all the four accused. It may be recalled that while delivering the verdict on the appeals filed by Natarajan, who had recently underwent dual organ transplant and sought relief from the Supreme Court from surrendering before the trial court on health grounds, and three others challenging the 2010 order of CBI Special Court, Justice G Jayachandran of High Court upheld the CBI court order and dismissed their pleas.
The arrest warrant was issued as Natarajan has not produced the copies of the Apex Court order.
