Ayyakannu to campaign against AIADMK, BJP

Around 70 farmers of Desiya Thennindia Nadigal Inaippu Vivasayigal Sangam have planned to stage a novel protest by keeping human skeleton along the roads of the constituency. 

Prior to the journey, Ayyakannu told reporters that they have been fighting for the loan waiver and their protest in Delhi for 141 days drew the attention of all political leaders except Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also said that both the State and the Centre have deceived the farming community. 

“Since our grievances went unheard, the association has decided to launch an anti-BJP and anti-AIADMK campaign in RK Nagar where the bypoll has been scheduled”, Ayyakannu said. The farmers’ group plan the campaign for a few days in which the farmers from the Delta region too will join the protest, he said.
