The inscriptions were found in a Shiva Temple near the pond and when estampage was done to study the inscriptions and it was found that the inscription dated back to 13th and 14th centuries.

A study on the inscriptions was then carried out by the team and according to them the inscriptions had details about land donation to Brahmins.

Speaking to DT Next, Rajaguru said that the three inscriptions are dated back to the era of three later Pandyan kings such Jadavarman Veera Pandyan-I, Jadavarman Veerapandyan-III and Maravarman Sundara Pandyan-I.

Also, in one of the inscriptions it was mentioned that Maravarman Sundara Pandyan-I had defeated a Chola King but had given back the dynasty to the Chola King.
