He also charged Stalin with negotiating with Shahid Balwa to get Rs 200 crore for family owned Kalaignar TV and alleged that his family had money transactions with sand baron Shekar Reddy.

Speaking to reporters, Duraisamy asked if the DMK working president could demand for a CBI enquiry into the death of Sadiq Basha accused in the 2G scam. He also asked if I-T raids were conducted in the house of his son Udhayanidhi for tax evasions in the import of a foreign car or not.

Duraisamy said, “Stalin is angry with me since I exposed his corruption when he was the Chennai Mayor and I contested against him in elections. It was declared that I lost the elections and I have filed a petition against the election result in the SC.” Duraisamy said he was very honest in political life and refused to run wine shops and self-financing colleges despite being in the ruling party. “I could have started deemed universities and earned crores of rupees,” he said.

“I started Manithaneyam, the IAS coaching academy, for educational service and gave free coaching to the students. Everything is free of cost. If I have fixed half the fees that is collected by other coaching centres, I could have earned over Rs 100 crore every year,” he said.
