Shun political talks in Raj Bhavan, appeals Stalin
DMK working president MK Stalin on Tuesday expressed shock at the statements made by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in the city and said that he hopes that he would not use Raj Bhavan for political propaganda in future.

Taking exception to Venkaiah’s statement that the ruling dispensation in the state should fulfill all promises made by ‘Amma’ (read as Jayalalithaa), Stalin said that though it might be his personal wish, it was not acceptable for a person holding the august office to make such a statement.
Speaking during the release of the book “Those Eventful Days” at Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan, Venkaiah said, “What is required is to fulfill the promises made in the last elections when Jayalalithaa was in power. Whether you do your responsibility or not, the ultimate judgment has to be given not by the Governor, but by the people at the appropriate time.”
Asking if it were appropriate for the office he holds to speak politics from Raj Bhavan, the DMK working president said, “I hope the Vice President will introspect since his statements would belittle the respect people have on his office.”
