8-year-old girl drowns in Palar
Ranipet Sipcot police have registered a case and are investigating the drowning of an 8-year-old girl, who died in Palar on Sunday evening.

Though officials have warned the public against entering the Palar river, Ahamed Basha of Mel Visha-ram took his wife and two daughters to watch the water flow in the river.Â
Suddenly, the two girls en-tered the water to play, following which Mubithul Usna (8) was washed away.Â
When Ahmad Basha sought help, locals arrived at the spot and entered the water to search for the missing girl.
After rescuing her, they rushed her to the nearest government hospital where she was declared brought dead.
