4 TN pilgrims die in mishap near Tirupati
Four members of a family, including two children, from Tamil Nadu were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry head-on about 40 km from here on Friday, police said.

The victims hailing from Tirupur were returning after offering worship at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara at nearby Tirumala when the mishap occurred at Yerpedu near Sri Kalahasthi on Friday evening.Â
The middle-aged couple and their son and daughter were killed in the accident, suspected to have occurred after the lorry laden with large sized steel pipes overturned, police said. The driver of the lorry escaped from the spot soon after the accident, police added. Â
