Govt foisting false cases on my supporters: TTV Dinakaran
The sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran on Wednesday visited the hospital where his uncle M Natarajan underwent liver and kidney transplants at a private hospital and said his condition is stable.

Addressing the media after the visit, he said he spoke to the doctors about the transplants, as relatives and visitors were not allowed to visit Natarajan, due to the risk of infection. Later, Divakaran, the younger brother of the deposed AIADMK (Amma) general secretary VK Sasikala, also visited the hospital and told reporters that relatives would be allowed to see the patient only after three days and visitors might be allowed after a week.
Denying the charges of irregularities in obtaining a liver for transplant, Divakaran said such transplants are transparent processes and once an organ is available, it would be put up in the website and patients receive it based on their seniority, matching of organs and priority of the medical condition. Natarajan had been waiting since April and had become critical a few times, Divakaran said.
Earlier, Dinakaran, who addressed the media near his residence claimed that the government headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami was nearing its end. He also accused it of foisting cases upon his supporters. Referring to the sedition cases against him, Dinakaran said the police were exceeding their limits and he would take legal action on those who filed such cases on him.Â
He further said that he saw the pamphlets distributed by his supporters in Salem, based on which, sedition charges had been filed against him and added that there was nothing in the pamphlets that could attract sedition charges.Â
Sasikala had filed a petition for release on parole and hoped that she would be released after completion of the due formalities.Â
While Dinakaran did not elaborate further, his supporter Thanga Thamzihselvan, in a separate press meet, charged the state government with obstructing the parole for Sasikala. He also alleged that the police department was delaying the no objection certificate necessary for Sasikala’s parole.Â
Reacting to Dinakaran’s charge of booking false cases, Revenue Minister RB Udhayakumar said the sedition charges on Dinakaran would be proved in court. The minister also asserted that no one from the AIADMK would visit Sasikala if the sedition case is proved in court.Â
