Tagged as Vivasaaya Vilipunarchi Paadalgal, Pleader songs, Chera Dharma has directed the artists in association with K Rajavarman.
The songs bring out the fact that the future of the farming community in Tamil Nadu is so bleak that they are left with no option but to commit suicide.
The concept, lyrics and voices have been lent by Chera Dharma.
Of the six songs, two have been composed by Rashaanth Arwin, a friend of Chera Dharma and the other four songs by Jithin.
The CD was released by P Ayyakannu in the presence of Tiruchy farmers. Chera Dharma also felicitated Ayyakannu before the release.
After releasing the songs, Ayyakannu told reporters that the demonstration that is held at the National capital is neither to attract the Centre nor the State. “Our goal is to influence the other farming community to support us,” he added.
Meanwhile, Ayyakannu claimed that the suicidal rate among farmers has reduced drastically after he started holding protests, indicating that people trusted him.
“We will never stop our protests till we get a positive response from the government. We will conduct a mega rally in New Delhi on November 20,” he informed.
