Stalin in his address at Dindigul, stated that DMK is the only party that would come to the fore to protest for the people and for the past 68 years the party had been built up based on its pro-people policies. “The process of admitting new cadres in the party would start on Sunday and would go on till November 15,” said Stalin.

He also slammed the Tamil Nadu government’s move to support Navodaya schools with a view to imposing Hindi language in the state. He recalled that former CM, Aringar Anna, had introduced two language policy in the state and stood firmly against the imposition of Hindi.

He said the Central government for betraying the Tamil students by making a fake promise that the state would be given one-year exemption from NEET. Tamil Nadu lost Anitha due to the betrayal of the Central government. “DMK would not go down without an amendment to NEET seeking exemption for the state,” said Stalin.

Stalin went on to say that they are expecting a good decision through court in another two or three days and added that they will gather people’s support and protest against the ruling party.

A grand function of the party was organised at Dindigul in which awards for DMK veterans were distributed. Periyar Award was given to N Krishnamoorthy, Anna Award to TS Tiruvengadam, Pavendar Award to Ambalavanan and Kalaingar Award to Sankari Narayanan. Earlier, DMK senior leader Durai Murugan said that Chief Minister Edappadi K.Palaniswami, who is running the government by horse trading, has no locus standi to criticise DMK.
