Palaniswami refers to TTV as ‘wily fox’ at MGR centenary event
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami likened the ruling party’s disavowed deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran to a wily fox in a veiled reference in his address in the MGR centenary celebrations in Erode district.

The CM’s reference came amidst his long list of infra projects including drinking water projects executed for Erode district and blamed a few who keep talking about ‘something else’ as the latter was not willing to appreciate the State. Without dropping any names, Palaniswami reeled out a fable featuring a horse owned by a vocalist, and a wily fox, and likened it to the unmindful spats engaged by the supporters of the TTV.
The story goes like this. The horse which saw the respect its master commandeered and the heap of praises and goodies showered on him in event after event, decided to make a career out of singing. It went to a forest whenever its master did not have any concert to host, and began neighing aloud. This attracted a fox, which decided to use the aspiring vocalist to hunt the animals in hiding.
The fox told the horse that the latter’s voice was sweet. The horse believed the fox and went with it. The horse’s neigh turned out to be so bad that it forced several animals to move out of their habitats, and the fox feasted on the animals during their exodus.
A day came, on which the fox too lost its patience on the horse and suggested the horse can now leave the forest, and can come when called for to stage its talent again, Palaniswami said.
Referring to TTV Dinakaran and his team for their wily activities and fooling themselves to believe that the people of Tamil Nadu had bought it, Palaniswami flayed TTV and his supporters for trying to mislead the public.
