Madurai and Nellai district witness agitation

Following the death of Anitha, protests had erupted throughout Tamil Nadu. Students community had taken the protests in their hands and various parties and organisations had also joined with them. 

At Madurai, students of Arul Anandar College staged a road roko outside their college with the demand to exempt Tamil Nadu from NEET and also protested against the Central government. 

Similarly, students of St Xavier’s College at Palayamkottai in Tirunelveli district staged a protest with the same demand. A large number of students participated in the protest. At Madurai, members attached to the Confederation against NEET and Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam staged a road roko near Periyar bus stand. Also at Madurai, lawyers staged a protest in front of district court.

At Kovilpatti in Thoothukudi district, members attached to Makkal Adigaram staged protest against NEET. They shouted slogans against NEET and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they were seen beating the photo of Modi with their slippers.
