AIADMK Merger: TTV Dinakaran moves over a dozen MLAs to Pondy resort

Soon after the TTV Dinakaran faction withdrew their support for the current Edappadi K Palaniswami government, latest reports reveal that they have booked 30 rooms at the Windflower Resort Spa in Pudhucherry.

The resort is booked to accommodate over a dozen MLAs who have expressed their desire to join the Dinakaran faction following the merger. A source close to DT Next revealed that so far 7 MLAs have arrived at the resort.

Earlier today, the MLAs supporting Dinakaran faction had met the TN Governor Ch Vidhyasagar Rao and submitted a memorandum withdrawing their support for the Palaniswami government.

Meanwhile, a day after the CM Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam factions merged, Leader of Opposition and working President of DMK, MK Stalin demanded Palaniswami prove his majority. In a letter to the Governer, he had alleged that 22 MLAs have withdrawn their support to the current government and also requested for a floor test in the TN Assembly.
