Don’t waste money on posters, Kamal tells fans
In continuation of the tirade against the government from the side of actor-producer Kamal Haasan, a poster was pasted in Madurai by his fans association taunting AIADMK leaders on Sunday. The poster also mentioned Kamal as the future Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

However, when the poster caught the attention of Kamal, he took to Twitter and wrote, “I need my fans for greater service. I am enough to fend them (politicians) off. Do not waste time and money on posters. Please take this debate higher.”
When contacted, Kovai R Thangavelu, the head of Kamal Haasan Narpani Iyakkam, said, “Despite several instructions from Narpani Iyakkam, our fan club association in Madurai has done something like this. This has not gone down well with Kamal sir. Apart from the Tweet, he has personally instructed us yet again to stop such activities.”
Thangavelu also said that the instruction to the fan club pertaining to such wall posters came after a controversy came up in Tiruchy a few months ago. “One such poster landed Kamal sir in trouble and a case was filed against him. We are being cautious in each and every move of Narpani Iyakkam and will ensure that none of our members stirs up such controversies in the future,” he added. Following Kamal’s recent outburst against the government, several Ministers have urged him to first join politics.
