Tamil Nadu under serious terror threat, says Tamilisai
BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan has voiced her concern over Tamil Nadu facing a terror threat from some outfits who are out to destabilise peace in this part of the country.
Coimbatore
She was addressing the media after attending the fourth death anniversary of former BJP State general secretary ‘Auditor’ S Ramesh here on Wednesday. Soundararajan also said she was concerned over delay in commencement of trials in sensational murders of BJP and Hindu outfit leaders even years after the heinous crimes. In 2013, Ramesh (54) was hacked to death by a trio hiding in the compound of his house in Maravaneri, Salem City.Â
While talking about the case, the BJP state president said that though three people were arrested, their role in the murder is yet to be ascertained and the trial is yet to begin. She made an appeal to the police to step up vigil to ensure peace and safety of the people. Â
According to Soundararajan, terrorists are targeting the student population and brainwashing them to team up with their side. She alleged that under the guise of students, Naxals are mingling with students, who are fighting for a genuine cause. Â She did not reply when asked about why the BJP was coming down heavily on Kamal Hassan for his remarks criticising the TN Government, while at the same, her party had hailed Rajinikanth for similar remarks.Â
