Major reshuffle of IPS officers in state

Dr Sylendra Babu, who is presently ADGP, Coastal Security Group has now been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Prisons, Chennai while Dr Prateep V Philip who is presently ADGP, Economic Offences Wing has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Welfare, Chennai. 

Other senior IPS officers, who have been transferred included MS Jaffar Sait, who is presently Special Officer, Refugees Camp in Mandapam. He has been transferred and posted as Project Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Academy in Oonamanchery, while ADGP Shakeel Akhter has been transferred from the post of Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Housing Corporation to ADGP, Armed Police Headquarters, Chennai. ADGP Dr CK Gandhirajan, who is presently Special Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Transport Corporation, Chennai has been transferred and posted as ADGP, State Human Rights Commission, Chennai. 

Dr K Jayanth Murali presently serving as ADGP, State Traffic Planning Cell, Chennai will now take charge as ADGP, Crime Branch CID in the existing vacancy while P Kandaswamy, who is ADGP Technical Services will now take charge as ADGP Administration in the existing vacancy. 

Meanwhile, ADGP Vijay Kumar, who is presently Inspector General of Prisons has been transferred and posted as Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation Limited, according to the release. IG Enforcement D. MC Sarangan has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, South, Greater Chennai police, the release said.
