‘Corrupt’ AIADMK regime driving investors out: Stalin

Alleging that investors have left Tamil Nadu and opened shops in other states owing to maladministration and rampant corruption in the AIADMK(Amma) regime, DMK working president MK Stalin on Saturday urged chief minister K Palanisamy to take steps on a war footing to create jobs for 84 lakh youth, who have registered with the employment exchanges in the state.

Describing the Chief Ministers’ most recent statement that one lakh jobs were created in the AIADMK regime as utterly false, Stalin said the statement was an insult meted out to lakhs of youths who have been struggling to get a job.

Recalling AIADMK regime’s earlier promise that 98 MoUs (memorandum of understanding) signed during the Global Investor’s Meet would fetch Rs 2.48 lakh crore, Stalin said that no new job was created and the MoUs were put in cold storage. Their statements would only help campaign politically and not help fetch jobs for unemployed youths, Stalin remarked.

Referring to a long list of investors, mainly auto majors who have ‘migrated’ to other states citing various reasons, including a KIA motors executive’s revelation that they were asked to pay 50% of land cost as commission, Stalin said that maladministration and rampant corruption in the AIADMK regime was driving investors out of the state.
