Delhi Police seeks 5 day custody for VK Sasikala's nephew TTV Dinakaran. The police also said before the Tees Hazari Court that he will be taken to Chennai, Kochi and Bengaluru for further investigation.

The Delhi police Crime Branch late arrested AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran in connection with an alleged attempt to bribe Election Commission officials to secure the ‘two leaves’ symbol for his faction.

The arrest of TTV Dinakaran, comes after four days of questing by the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police. Dinakaran, along with his assistant Janarthanan and friend Mallikarjuna were interrogated together.

Dinakaran and Mallikarjun were arrested by the Delhi police crime branch on late Tuesday night. Some reports suggest that Janardhan may become a witness in the case.

Mallikarjuna had been accompanying Dinakaran everywhere ever since Sukesh Chandrsekar, the middleman in the EC bribery case, was arrested, police said.

Dinakaran had yesterday confessed to meeting Chandrsekar, assuming he was a high court judge.

The middleman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who had been arrested earlier, spoke briefly to media persons on Tuesday and said that he was being framed in the case because of his past crimes. He also said that he was being made a victim in the case and denied any involvement.

An FIR was registered against Dinakaran on April 17 by the Delhi Police for attempting to bribe officials of the Election Commission in order to get the frozen two-leaves symbol allotted to his faction.

The AIADMK Deputy General Secretary had flown to Delhi on Saturday after a summons was issued to him at his residence by the Delhi Police earlier in the week.
