VITEEE results out, MP boy gets first rank

The entrance exam was held in 119 selected cities across the country as well as in Dubai, Kuwait and Muscat, for admission to the various B.Tech programmes offered by the VIT University at Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati (AP) campuses.

Announcing the results here on Sunday, VIT Chancellor G Viswanathan said that a record 2,23,081 candidates had registered for the VITEEE-2017. 

The other rank holders among the top 10 are : Second rank: Divyans Tripathi (Prabhat Sr Sec Public School, UP), 3rd rank: Divyanshu Mandowara (Arcadia Academy Co-Educational English Medium Sr Sec School, Rajasthan), 4th rank: Abhishek Rao (Remal Public School, UP), 5th rank: Bhanuteja Bolisetti (Sri Chaitanaya Narayana Jr College , Telengana), 6th rank: Hritwik Singhai (Little Kingdom Sr Sec School, MP), 7th rank: Pratheek D Souza Rebello (Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School, GOA), 8th rank : Avvari Sai SS V Bharadwaj (Sri Chaitanya Junior Kalasala, Telengana), 9th rank: Patel Manan Brijesh (Shree Swaminarayan Sr Sec School, Gujarat) and 10th rank: Shourya Agarwal (Hans Raj Model School, Delhi). Viswanathan said that the admissions would be only on merit, based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the VITEEE. The results have been released through the website www.vit.ac.in.

Counselling for candidates, who obtained ranks up to 8,000, would be held on May 10 and counselling for ranks 8001 to 14,000 would be held on May 11. For those who secured ranks from 14001 to 20000 will be held on May 12. The counselling would be held simultaneously in Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravati (AP).
