The couple, Kathiresan and Meetachi, the petitioners in the case, had claimed that actor Dhanush was their son and that he had run away while studying in Class 11.
They had also submitted documents to prove their claim including body marks.
Dhanush rejected their claims and said the couple had filed the case with an intention to blackmail and extract large amount of money from him.
However, the documents filed by Dhanush supporting his identity were found to be fake. Following this, the court ordered for a test of body marks and the report denied the claims of the couple.
As the two previous hearings were held as in camera proceedings, the hearing scheduled on Monday was to be held in the open court.
As soon as the argument had commenced, Dhanush’s counsel said that false information regarding the medical tests were propagated in the media by the petitioners’ counsel and asked the counsel to refrain from the media.
The petitioners’ counsel objected and said that it is not possible for him to refrain from media.
Judge interfered and observed orally that the court document is not a secret document and it is open for public. “People can pay Rs 35 and obtain the documents.” The judge said. Following the arguments, the petitioners counsel sought more time to engage a senior counsel in the case. The judge accepted the plea and adjourned the case to April 11.
