Candidates preparing for competitive exams had alleged that, in the recently conducted postal examination, there might be a major scam involved as candidates from Haryana and Maharashtra had topped the exams written in Tamil.

They had demanded thorough investigation into the fraudulent activities involved in the exam which they claim as a scam.Â
The examination for the direct recruitment of postman and mail guard was conducted on December 11, 2016, and the results for the exam was published on March 14. In the results, students from Hissar in Haryana and Maharashtra had topped in all the 47 divisions in Tamil Nadu in which one of the papers was Tamil language.Â
The result had come as a shocker to the candidates preparing for competitive exams in Tamil Nadu who claim that the results were part of a major scam in which question paper might have leaked already to a section of aspirants in Haryana and Maharashtra.Â
Speaking to DTNext, Madharaj, an engineering graduate who is preparing for competitive exams, claimed that there were 300 vacancies throughout the state and more than 150 selected candidates were from Hissar in Haryana.Â
What was more surprising was that these candidates had scored top marks in Tamil language paper. Some had scored even 24 out of 25 in Tamil paper. They got suspicious and when they saw their mail ID it resembled the mail IDs of Tamil candidates.Â
They grew more suspicious and with their exam roll numbers they had obtained their mobile phone numbers. When they called the candidates of Haryana they could not even speak proper English. When they spoke in Tamil the Haryana candidates could not even understand the language claimed Madhanraj.
Another candidate Vignesh, claimed that there is a strong doubt that there is a major scam involved in the exam. Either the question paper should have leaked prior to the incident or the results should have been altered in their favour.Â
When they tried to communicate to the postal department through the website where the results were published the website was shutdown. Hence, Madurai district administration should take action about the scam involved in the exam demanded Vignesh.
