Jayakumar new Finance Minister, Intel IG shifted
In the first portfolio shuffle since the formation of the new government under Edappadi K Palanisamy, Finance, Planning, Legislative Assembly, Elections and Passports, Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Training) presently held by him has been reallocated to Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar in addition to the portfolios held by him.

Meanwhile, the state government has transferred Davidson Devasirvatham from the post of Intelligence Inspector General (IG) and has kept the post vacant for the time being. He has been posted back as IG Welfare which he held before taking charge as the IG Intelligence.Â
Davidson Devasirvatham was appointed as the Intelligence IG by caretaker Chief Minister O Panneerselvam after shifting K N Satyamurthy on February 13, five days ahead of the floor test.Â
Davidson’s posting was a tactical move by the rebel AIADMK leader as he doubted that Satyamurthy had allegedly been working in favour of VK Sasikala.
