Kovai journos protest goons attack on media
Journalists working in various organisation in Coimbatore city jointly protested the attack on their counterparts in Chennai who were covering the events from the resort at Koovathur.

The media persons covering the situation of MLAs in the resort on ECR were attacked by the goons there on Sunday.
“No action has been taken on the goons. They deterred them from performing their duty and grabbed and damaged their mobile phones and cameras,” district president of All Indian Journalists Welfare Association K Maruthachalam said.
Stating that assaults on journalists by various outfits and goons are on the rise, the protesters sought protection for journalists on duty, especially while covering sensitive issues.
