Memes openly criticising those MLAs who have extended support to VK Sasikala are making the rounds on various social medias. Many are also sending messages to the mobile and WhatsApp numbers of their MLA. While some have asked their MLAs to support OPS, other have asked the elected representative to act according to their conscience.

A post by Rajesh Srinivas on the profile of Thodamathur MLA and Minister for Municipal Administration S P Velumani read, “If you want to support the other person (Sasikala) against our wishes…you can do it by resigning your MLA post… as we don’t want you to support her,” V Andrew John (31), a techie in Coimbatore, said “I tried reaching my MLA in person. But, he is unavailable. My MLA’s mobile phone has been switched off.. Youth, who managed to speak to their MLAs on the issue of choosing the next Chief Minister, are even abused by the MLAs. So, I registered my view on the MLA’s facebook page.”

Meanwhile, praise poured in for Ma Foi Pandiarajan, Education Minister who switched camp to support Panneerselvam on Saturday. A first time voter R Deepak said, “We are least bothered whom Pandiarajan was supporting till now. He listened to his conscience and lent an ear to the voices of the people who elected him. It will be appreciable if other MLAs too follow the model set by him.”
