Social activist Traffic Ramaswamy in his plea had submitted that there has been a revelation by Paneerselvam, which has been telecast live across the globe on February 7 that Sasikala along with one Divakaran and AIADMK Ministers Vijaya Bhaskar, R P Udhyakumar and Sellur Raju had threatened him to resign and obtained his signature on February 4 at her residence in Poes Garden.

He further noted that based on the confessions and observations made by Paneerselvam, a criminal case needs to be registered against the persons for Criminal conspiracy, prevention on injury to public property and criminal intimidation and accordingly he had approached the Teynampet police to register a case.

Since, the concerned inspector had neither registered a case nor investigated the complaint there was no scope but to approach the court to direct the police to register an FIR and proceed against the persons and a proper investigation is done.

Meanwhile, another plea moved by Ramaswamy at the Madras High Court seeking to stay the swearing in of Sasikala until the Supreme Court verdict in the DA case is out, is scheduled to be taken up on February 16.

Though the case came up before the first bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice M Sundar on Friday, the petitioner’s absence prompted the bench to initially pass over the case and subsequently adjourn it owing to Ramasamy’s preoccupation at the Saidapet court filing the criminal case.
