CM offers prayers at temple in hometown
Chief Minister O Panneerselvam offered special prayers at a temple in his home town Periyakulam in Theni district on Thursday.

Panneerselvam along with his Vijayalakshmi and other family members participated at the Kumbashishegam of Sri Gopala Krishna Swami Temple at Periyakulam and were given special reception.Â
Poornakumba respect was given to Panneerselvam and Parivattam was tied on him. Special poojas were conducted for him and his family.Â
Meanwhile, former Chief Secretary Rama Mohana Rao, who was recently suspended on charges of corruption, visited Tiruchendur Murugan Temple along with family members on Thursday.Â
According to sources inside the temple, Rao had reached Tiruchendur on Wednesday night and stayed in a private hotel.Â
He offered Satru Samhara Yaga Poojai and Abishegam after which the Thirisari Archanai was performed for him at the temple. His visit was kept as a secret and only after he had left the temple the information spread.Â
