Tamil Nadu tops in digital cash at petrol bunks: Minister

Minister of State (independent charge), Ministry of Petroleum, Dhramendra Pradhan made the announcement while interacting with reporters in Coimbatore after addressing the pearl jubilee national convention of the All India LPG Distributors Federation. The minister said that 4,077 petrol bunks in the state have provisions for digital transactions. Pradhan said that only five per cent of transactions were cashless prior to demonetisation.  The figure climbed to 28 per cent after the demonetisation drive. He said four out of 50 cities in India to achieve 100 per cent digitisation at petrol bunks are in Tamil Nadu.
