3 held for sale of obscene videos to students
In a shocking trend, three men were found selling obscene videos to school students by uploading the content onto their mobile phones.

The three men were running a Compact Disc shop in Madurai, the act came in the open when they attacked an auto driver who questioned them. They were arrested on December 22. The three accused Kasirajan, Umar Sharif and Ajmal Khaja were running the CD shop at Pondy Bazaar near Madurai Railway Junction.Â
The three were involved in uploading obscene videos in the memory card of mobile phones and had been selling it to school students.
Saravanan (46), an auto driver, who chanced to see the mobile phone of his nephew was shocked to see the objectionable videos. When he inquired him nephew about it, he pointed to the shop uploading the videos for a price on their mobile phones.Â
Saravanan immediately went to the shop and inquired about the videos sold to students. When he questioned the propriety of their act, an altercation broke between Saravanan and the trio. They stabbed Saravanan with a screw driver. He fainted on the spot. Later, he was rushed to the Madurai GRH.
Thilagar Thidal police booked a case under section 307 of IPC and also under the Indian Copyright Act and arrested  the trio.
